427 Highriser engine in a Torino Nascar for 69. Note the ram air setup is a cowl induction unit. This gives the biggest gulp of air. Also note the tubed frame. Suspension is a from a 1965 Galaxie. This motor was used for the first part of the 69 season as the Boss 429 was not legal.

 This is A. J. Foyts Torino Fastback Nascar car. Notice the 427 Call out on the hood. The 429 wass not yet leagl. Also AJ's car is picking up air through one on the headlights.

One of the Torino Talladega's with a 427. Compare the front end with the other cars. See how thewy brought the fenders out th fit nore flush with the grille. Also the front bumber is the same as the rear bumber. This give the car a very good high speed advantage. Rockers are also rolled.
